Until today, the legal regulation has been presided, fundamentally, by laws of the State: Law regulating the Bases of the Local Regime; Text Consolidated of Legal dispositions in force in matter of Local Regime; Ley de Haciendas Locales and Organic Law of the General Electoral System. Secondary has been, until today, the autonomic regulation on local regime, although from the new Statutes of Autonomy of 2006-2007 can already be seen a change of tendency. This opens a complex situation for the current Law governing the Bases of Local Regime, which will be inapplicable in some Autonomous Communities.
